Gospel Plan of Salvation

The gospel is the good news about Jesus Christ, His life, death, and resurrection. It is the foundation of Christian faith.

According to the Bible, all humans have sinned and fall short of the glory of God (Romans 3:23).
The consequence of sin is death, both physical and spiritual (Romans 6:23). However, God, in His love and mercy, provided a way for salvation through Jesus Christ.

Jesus lived a sinless life and willingly died on the cross as a sacrifice for our sins. Through His death and resurrection, He conquered sin and death, offering eternal life to all who believe in Him (John 3:16).

To receive this gift of salvation, one must:

Hear

• Hear the message of the gospel. Romans 10:17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Believe

• Believe in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Acts 16:30-31 And he brought them out and said, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?”
  So they said, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.”

Repent

• Repent of Your sins and turn to God. Acts 2:37-38 Now when they heard this, they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, “Men and brethren, what shall we do?”
  Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

Confess

• Confess with you mouth Jesus Christ is the Son of God. Romans 10:9 that if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.

Baptized

• Be baptized washing away your sins. Acts 22:16 And now why are you waiting? Arise and be baptized, and wash away your sins, calling on the name of the Lord.’

Keep the Faith

• Live Faithful till death. Revelation 2:10 Do not fear any of those things which you are about to suffer.
  Indeed, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison, that you may be tested, and you will have tribulation ten days. Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life.

A Gift from God

Salvation is a free gift from God, not earned by works but received through faith in Jesus Christ. Ephesians 2:8-10 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God,
9 not of works, lest anyone should boast. 10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.

However there are works we must do, verse 10 says God prepared them beforehand that we should walk in them. If we do not walk in these works we forfeit the gift God has given us

James 2:14-26 -What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him? 15 If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food, 16 and one of you says to them, “Depart in peace, be warmed and filled,” but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit? 17 Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead. 18 But someone will say, “You have faith, and I have works.” Show me your faith without [a]your works, and I will show you my faith by [b]my works. 19 You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe—and tremble! 20 But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is [c]dead? 21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works when he offered Isaac his son on the altar? 22 Do you see that faith was working together with his works, and by works faith was made [d]perfect? 23 And the Scripture was fulfilled which says, “Abraham believed God, and it was [e]accounted to him for righteousness.” And he was called the friend of God. 24 You see then that a man is justified by works, and not by faith only. 25 Likewise, was not Rahab the harlot also justified by works when she received the messengers and sent them out another way? 26 For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also.
